Allah’s religion is complete and perfect insusceptible to addition or abrogation Surah Al-Baqarah (ayah 84-85).

Before the advent of the Prophet (pbuh) the Jewish tribes who lived on the outskirts of Madinah had pledged that they will support their respective tribe whenever the war erupted between them. They were not to shed the blood of their people, expel them from their homes or help another party in fighting against their brothers.  “And recall when We made a covenant with you, that you shall not shed one another’s blood, and shall not turn out one another from your homelands; you confirmed it, and you yourselves are witnesses to it” (Quran 2:84). But they went against the command. When their brethren were captured they brought money to get them released stating they were acting on the Torah. They ransomed them according to the rulings of the Torah, yet kill them (while helping the enemy) while the Torah forbade them to do so. The Torah also commanded that they should not aid those who associate with Allah in the worship, against their brethren.  “And here you are, killing one another, turning out a party of your own from their homelands, aiding one another against them in sin and enmity, and if they come to you as captives you ransom them although the very act of expelling them was unlawful to you. Do you believe in a part of the Scripture and reject the rest?  What else, then, could be the retribution of those among you who do this than that they should live in degradation in the present life, and that on the Day of Resurrection they should be sent to the severest chastisement? Allah is not heedless of what you do” (Quran 2: 85). They did all this to acquire the life of this world. They implemented the Torah sometimes and defy it at other times, although they believed in the Torah and knew what they were doing was wrong. So they believed in part of the Scripture and reject some part for a worldly gain. So, what should be the recompense for such people? Allah says that for them is disgrace in this life, and in the Hereafter severe punishment awaits them. Allah is not unaware of what one does. The punishment for defying the laws and commandments of Allah is in both the worlds. Each soul will taste what it has earned. The torment will be eternal and there will be no refuge from it.

Its but a fact that when we commit to someone and then we don’t do it, we indirectly tell them that we are not those to be trusted. We need to stay loyal to what we said about, and our actions and behaviors should reflect our words, long after the mood we said it in has left us. It’s usually our good intensions when we are making a promise but when we keep a promise, it reflects our character as this is our commitment to our self. It’s something that keeps us going in some difficult times as well, not allowing us to get stumbled.

The human omissions and additions that crept into the previous divine Scriptures couldn’t retain it in their original form. The Quran however is the only Divine Scripture, which has stood the test of time without any change. The religion that Allah chose for us is complete n perfect n is not susceptible to addition or abrogation. Its perfection is manifested in the fact that Allah has made it reign, supreme and prevail over other religions. This Universal and eternal religion is resilient and adjustable to the changing conditions of time and place. This religion is the truth from Him and the truth never fades or diminishes. Moreover, it’s the perfect one, but we are not so if we make a mistake, Islam shouldn’t be blamed for that…we should be blamed. Since Islam was never sent to the perfect people, it was sent to perfect the people so we should at least keep trying to become perfect.  Allah didn’t create us to be perfect, he only wants us not to give up hope and keep trying. Its indeed Allah’s favor upon us that He granted the followers of this religion a true guidance, support and honor in this world and in the Hereafter (Hussain, 2018).

WHEN JUST LOOKING AT THE THINGS MAY NOT BE ENOUGH BUT ACTUALLY HOW ONE WILL PONDER UPON THEM, WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE- SURAH AL-MURSALAT-77 (PART-II)

The man is reminded to reflect upon the favors of Allah. If the man just looks at his own creation, he will simply recognize His lord. “Did We not create you out of a humble fluid” (Quran 77:20). “which We then let remain in (the womb's) firm keeping” (Quran 77:21). “for a term pre-ordained?” (Quran 77: 22). Mankind is reminded of a time when it was weak and despised and Allah placed it in a safe place – the mother’s womb. Neither can a harmful thing enter it nor can it be seen from the outside. It stays there and is nourished for a determined time. Only Allah knows when is the right time for the baby to enter this world. “Thus have We determined (the nature of man's creation): and excellent indeed is Our power to determine (what is to be)!” (Quran 77:23). Here is a reminder that man’s position in comparison to Allah’s power is weak. The process of man's coming into being clearly point to God's creative activity and, hence, to His existence. Consequently, lack of g...

The Unknown Rajulan Min Al-Ansar Visited by Jibreel (AS)

Abdullah Ibn Abbas (RA) shares an authentic account recorded by 'at-Tabarani' about the Prophet (Pbuh) visiting an unknown sick man from the Ansar community. This man is simply referred to as "Rajulan min al-Ansar" meaning a man from the Ansar, with no mention of his name. As the Prophet (Pbuh) approached the man's home, he overheard the man speaking to someone inside, after which he knocked on the door and asked for permission to enter. However, upon entering, the Prophet (Pbuh) found no one with the sick man. The man then explained to the Prophet (Pbuh) that he had briefly stepped out because he was upset about how people were treating him due to his illness, which is described in the narration as a "hum-ma," meaning fever, but it is possible that it had caused some visible appearance or behavior that led to negative treatment. The illness had made the Ansari man unappealing to others.      The sick man went on to tell the Prophet that someone had...
